Several factors are responsible for the instability of slopes and slopes. One of the reasons is that, currently, the limited space for the execution of works determines very inclined cuts in slopes. In other cases, clearing vegetation, torrential rainfall and subsurface waters can create instability in stable slopes.

These conditions often create degradation on the slope surface or even deep instability. There are several alternatives to stabilize these slopes using structural solutions, some examples are:

• Throw-out Curtain
• Projected Concrete
• Crib wall
• Gabion Wall
• Retaining Wall
• Green Terramesh Wall
• Soil-cement Rip-rap
• Armed earth.
