Wooden palettes are bulkheads that should be used with the retention of large volumes of sediment. It can be associated with Bermalonga®-type sediment retainers that currently apply upstream of the fees, in addition to promoting sediment retention, reducing the burden directly on the rules, resulting in or extending the life of the rules.
The pallet is made of immunized eucalyptus pieces, with a usual diameter between 15 and 20 cm, with variable variable length, according to the availability of wood in the market and the characteristics of the soil. As pieces of wood are positioned vertically, percussed or buried in the dug ditch so that 50% of its length is only in the ground.
